Neurological Health — Stroke Recovery
Client Profile
78-year-old woman with right-sided hemiparesis following a stroke, experiencing gait imbalance, foot drag, and fatigue despite PT and regular Pilates.
The Challenge
Movement required constant focus and effort, with lingering weakness, coordination loss, and frustration. Speech occasionally faltered, and migraines reappeared with stress or low blood sugar. Her body felt unsteady and disconnected from its natural flow.
The Journey
Sessions targeted reactivating motor and sensory-motor networks to rebuild automatic walking patterns and coordination. Emotional clearing addressed grief and frustration, supporting neuroplastic repair and reconnection of brain-body movement circuits.
The Outcome
Her Pilates instructor noted a marked improvement in coordination and freedom of movement after the first session. Strength, balance, and control improved. She regained smooth, automatic movement, could squat deeper and stand without arm support, and walked with greater ease. Speech stabilized, migraines reduced.
Timeframe
4 Brain Network Attunement sessions over 7 months.
"I notice an improvement in my little exercises…feels good to squat deeper and stand up without using my arms… total control when sitting down. My Pilates instructor said she noticed a big difference in how I'm moving—much improved."
